K&N Precharger? That's an oxymoron!

K&N Filters aren't worth what they are made of in the dirt....

I just put a Scotch Brite green pad on my lid.

What's the verdict on K&N?

Meant to say they AREN'T worth what they are made off.

K&N knows street filters but they have allot to learn about all the micro dirt particles that dirt bike are constantly subjected too....

its not a filter its a dust cover for a k&n filter. still running the regular air filter so anything to aid it is better than nothing

Been using K&N on my Strom for over +70,000 miles, and I bet money on it, my Strom see's more dirt MILES than most dirtbikes on this forum

Also ran one on my DR, never once had to clean it or reoil it in 10,000 miles

I service the one on the Strom every 12 months

Why do you say that? K&N doesn't belong in the dirt IMO.... you may have a different view and that's fine too.

I'm gonna go with Inda on this one. K&N is fine for the asphalt, give me an oiled foam filter for the dirt any day. I do like the pre-screen mod you have there though. Can't hurt, and should help.

Just rattling your chain. I have no opinion either way regarding K&N. I have never used them. I stick with UNI or No-toil. Although I do like the idea of a cover to keep the larger chunks out of the airbox. I used Mr Wibbens mod for mine.

Agreed with Inda, still fing twin air or Uni the best air filter around over the fancy K&N.
