'91 KX125 forks?

I can get a complete '91 KX125 for next to nothing and was wondering if it was a worthwhile upgrade from the stock '90 KDX forks? Yeah, I know the '96 and up forks are the preferred forks of choice but the price is right and it is 100% complete. Anyways, would it be a straight bolt on or would I still have to swap stems like the newer forks?

Any other info that you can shed on this would be much appreciated.

I'm not sure how the swap would be. Those forks will still be a marginal improvement over your stock forks, whether or not it's worthwhile, I'm not sure.

Hmm, I figured it would be quite a bit of an improvement. They are USD so they are stiffer, no underhang like conventionals, and the addition of rebound damping. What am I missing that wouldn't make them a great upgrade?

BTW, missed a great deal on CL by about 10 minutes on a complete 2000 YZ125 with a blown engine for $300. Would have been great forks for a conversion. UGH!

Wow, shocked to hear that a MX'er of that year didn't have rebound adjustment. Oh well.
