ok so i have had my kdx 220 for a while now and i sent my head in to rb design to get the head milled. anyway today he sent me an email that he did the job to it and sent it back.

He also said that it looks like it was already milled by someone else???????????????????????????????????????????????????

ok so my bike has a few frp parts on it. so is it posible that that one of the owners that had it before me had the head mod by frp?

so that gets me wondering does mine haves the frp carb mod too????

is there any way to tell other than by performance gains?

i have only rid one other kdx 220 and mine seams to rip compaired to it

any idea?????????????

the guy i bought it from did not no anything

Anything is possible. In the beginning FRP was the only one known to do KDX mods, although other machine shops would try their hands at it too.

So, the short answer is... who knows.

I think what he is asking is if you have had the carb modified how can you tell. Is there some visual tip off. Different adjusting screws ETC.

I don't know the answer but am interested if anyone does know about the carb.

For the carb... The only indicator would be to check the cut of the slide and to measure the throat of the carb with calipers.

For the head... it would lack casting marks in the bowl part and look machined.

If the carb was modified by RB it would have a horizontal divider plate in the throat on the exit side. I doubt FRP does that, but I don't know.

I never even heard of an FRP carb mod. I don't guess that means he doesn't do one though.
