Spark Plug Mystery

I found a brand new, but old spark plug in my tool box, probably from a previous bike. It's a NKG Gold Palladium V #B9EV. The threads are a little shorter than the stock B9ES. The question is, will it work in a '92KDX 200?
Thanks

Are you using a 9? You should be running a 8 range plug.

The service manual specs B9ES.

That was before it was known that an 8 is what it should be. You can ask anyone who has ridden KDX's for a while. A 9 is just too cold....

I also found a NGK # B9EG and a B9EGV .

So it should be #B8ES? I'll get some tomorrow.
Thanks!

Switch to a BR8ES and see how much better your bike runs.

What's the consensus on spark plug gap?

by Indawoods
Most do a .032 - .035 gap....
Manual states .7 to .8 which is .028 to .031

Yeah, I'm with fuzzy on this one. Out of the box, quick visual, into the bike.
