ok i want to get some power reeds for my kdx 220. and when i took the old ones out they look just like the picture of the boyesen power reeds???
is there any way to tell them from the stock? the ones i have now are yellow. what color are the stock?

they are fiberglass, whatever color that is. Off white... yellow... sure.
Boyesen power reeds are two stage. There's a thicker reed underneath with three holes in it, and then the upper reed with three petals. No reed stops.

this is what the reeds look like: no stops and like two peaces of the reeds

Those look like Boyesen 607's to me.

sorta, yeah. But the 607's i've seen have an upper plate with 3 separate petals, like this guys... Scroll down and look at the lower pictures.

Of course, those ones are wore slap out, but you get the idea. Yours must be boyesen power reeds, but I've not seen any #607 reeds that looked quite like that before.

ok thanks ya i got the boyson ones. how much of a increase in power wise would i get with the v force or the rad valves?
or would it be better the send the carb in to get it moded?
thanks

bang for buck: I'd get the carb + head mod and the boyseen. This would cost just about the same as getting the VF3 only but the performance would be a lot better!
just my .02

I'd get RB'd first

For your KDX, v-force nor rad valve will be enough increase over the $30 boyesen power reeds to justify the cost.
I'd likewise RB it first! Which I hope to do, as soon as possible.....
