i have a TurbineCore 2 spark arrestor on my 01 kdx 220 and when i was riding today after a while i noticed that it seamed a little louder than normal not much just a little. so any way i looked around and the pipe is fine but in the silencer in the very back where the exhaust comes out there is the tube that the exhaust passes through and that is loose inside the pipe??? like you can stick your finger in the pipe and wiggle the tube around.

any idea of what it is? i will tear into it tommorow.

does it sound like it needs to be repaced or something? or did this silincer break or some thing?

After you take it apart I think you will find that one of the two tabs that rivets
the pipe to the insert is broken.
Not much you can do but stuff more packing in to stop the rattle.

ok so is it ok to run it like that then if that is the case?

So long as the tube is not restricted.

ok i was wondering if i would not have enough back pressue or something or afect the jetting
