Does anyone know if the frame necks are the same on an 84 and an 86? I know the frames themselves are different but I have access to a disc brake front end off of an 86 and want to install it on my 84... I know I'm dealing with an antique here but my 84 is in unbelievable condition and it works great for riding with my son, my only gripe is those unpredictable front drum brakes... any info would be greatly appreciated...

Well... we swap out the stem on our late model conversions... that may be an option for you if it's not a drop in fit.
