Just picked up a 04 KDX200 today and I'm wanting to replace the stock handlebars. I also want some handguards also. Has anyone tried the Cycra Probend CRM complete racer pack? I had been looking at the Tusk T 10 handlebars to go with it. They had good reviews, but I wondered if I should go ahead and get some Pro Taper bars for the quality I've heard about. What are ya'll running on your bikes.

I just have some cheap steel CR Hi bend bars and Emgo handguards on my KDX - however, I like the Cycra triple clamp mounts. I've used them on a DR-Z400S, Husky TE250, and now my KLX250S. I have the Pro Taper SE 7/8" bars in KX Hi on the KLX. Sure, if you don't mind the price get the fat bars.
The CRM mounts look good too, I just haven't used them.

The triple clamp mounts do kinda lock you in to one position, but it's always been a good one for me.

I'm running pro-tapers with Tag top triples. I honesty can't feel any difference while riding from the cheap aluminum renthal knock-offs I used to run.

We need to replace the bars also on our 01 220. We're going to go with the Tusk bars. We put them on our son's CRF150 and are very impressed with them. Can't believe the price and the quality. So far so good! No complaints.

I found some used Renthals for the same price as a new set of Tusk bars

They are definitely a stronger bar

Really? That's disappointing to hear. They were the 7/8 aluminum ones?

been a few years, they were like $25 at Rockymountain

We paid I think $28 in the spring for the bars for my sons bike. They really seem like they're good bars. I guess with a cheap price like that you can't expect too much.

I put Renthal Fat Bars on my KTM and they are really good bars but they cost twice the price. Sounds like you got an awesome deal for your Renthals.

I'm thinking of trying the Tusk D flex handguards from Rocky Mtn ATV. They have really good reviews and are $54.99. I know you generally get what u pay for but I'm working on a budget.

I was thinking of that also! The Tusk bars with the Tusk handguards. Gosh you sure can't beat the price.

The Cycra triple clamps are studs! If you can knock a guard loose or break one of those guards, you need to SLOW DOWN

Bars: I spent a lot of time fussing with bars that weren't up to snuff, and that largely because they didn't cost a lot. Finally bought a decent bar..Renthal..and haven't had a problem with them in years.

I had a set of Fly bars once..they bent when my bike fell over sitting on the side stand!

To each his own. If someone likes a cheap aluminum bar...that is wonderful.

I've used Polisport guards for years. They're lever savers more than hand guards. The don't protect knuckles/fingers/hands 'fer diddle.

Specially when they are pointed down at the ground

The D-flex are a good value and I liked them better than some Acerbis we had on a bike. The bar end insert on the D-flex seemed a little cheesy, but I think you could get extras fairly cheap. I went to Cycra triple clamp mounted ones when I did my fork conversion and like them the best, but they are pricey. Very good customer support though. I have Pro taper fat bars and they are very strong.
