KDXRIDER.NET

Hi, this summer i bought a 01 kdx220 with the fmf gnarly gold series pipe with the powercore 2 silencer... but how can i know if the pipe is the woods or the desert? and what is the difference?

It will have K30 (Desert) or K35 (Woods) stamped on the top mounting tap. That is supposed to be the model number although mine is incorrectly stamped by the California stoners...

Desert is for wide open riding at high RPM's where you need torque up high in the powerband... Woods is for tight low RPM woods riding where you need torque down low.

Do you have a pic of your bike?

Mine has no such number, only a long serial/part number

EDIT: Just figured it out - 020057 is the woods pipe, 020056 is the desert one
