I did for a short period of time, but then took it out. Just didnt' seem to be room enough for the one I had. Looked like it might interrupt fuel flow the way I had to wedge it in there.

An extra one has been on the bike for 4-5 years now...with a little extra line. If for some reason the filter got plugged or smashed that extra fuel line will enable me to toss the filter and plug back into the carb. I don't know the brand of the filter. With all the sand out here I recommend it, the sand gets into everything.
But another reason is to have a little extra fuel line in case a riding buddy runs out of fuel - we can refuel him.

FYI, not a bad idea to filter the fuel coming out of a plastic fuel jug...especially when new. The casting/molding crap that comes out of a new jug is pretty incredible. Clean fuel into tank, no need for filter.

I like the idea, but to put it into practice I'd have to have extra line and the filter just sort of hanging out down by the carb. Love to see installation pictures from you guys who have one; I can't see how to do it and have it be sano.

Do you mean this?
You linked to the whole page, not just the filter.
