Here's how I did it.

RotoPax 2 gal plus stock tank gives 4.2 gallons BEFORE reserve. Plenty of room for food and drinks, without ME carrying the weight on my back.

Thoughts? Opinions? Ridicule? Let me have it guys! :partyman:

Well, I guess if you are heading off into the wilderness and need that much fuel, you've got to come up with something.

I personally wouldnt want all that weight right over the back wheel.

They used to make front fender tanks, but then you would lose your headlight.

It is a nice looking holder though.

Reminds me of being a kid with my Honda SL70, an overnight camping trip on our motorcycles. We would carry a few extra gallons also strapped under a backpack on the rear.

The only bad part was when my friend dumped it and was trapped underneath the bike with the gas leaking onto the hot exhaust...we laughed but he was like some freaking wild rabbit trying to get out from under it!

Not a bad idea, looks good. I would think that the extra tank would leak a little from expansion and get fumes on the backpack, which could ruin your food and/or water, so I would carry food separate from the fuel container.

without the stuff above the tanks it looks like a no-brainer.

thanks for the pictures.

looks good. I'd be intersted in seeing some more detailed pics of the rack setup and how you mounted it.

Yeah could you please post a picture of how it's mounted? This could really help me, thanks
