Your thoughts on this retrofit??
Compatibility and fitout?

They'll fit, if that's the question.
Fewer questions and less hassle getting all the parts you will need from the same bike..like front wheel (with rotor), axle, and spacers.
The '97 forks aren't as large as later years, less liklihood of having to address a tank slapping problem with either a fork stop modification or putting a dent in your tank with a heat gun.........

..in which case...newer is most often better.
Except for the instances where fork designers were too high on drugs to know what the hell they were doing (and 'invented' things like dual chamber and bladder forks).
From
HERE!
..a page about '07 Kawasaki's...although it doesn't say this
particular bike..a KX250... is an '07. Maybe it's an '06:
Improved Front Fork
New 48mm Kayaba bladder forks feature check valves on the bladders to control internal pressure and improve damping and fork action throughout the stroke.
Bladders can be defeated/removed/gotten rid of....
**I know nothing about bladder forks except for what I've read about 'em...and that ain't good. If you put your bike s'upside down (like Inda does to take out his base valves), proceed to actually TAKE the things out..and 'ya get drenched with oil spew...
...you got bladders!

SHould I be avoiding bladder forks and dual chamber altogether?
