How to become Gold member?

I was wondering since Vince brought the donate button back how does one become a Gold member? I noticed that Gold members have 4 gold stars and supporting members have one gold star, inquiring minds want to know.

It's a $50 or more contribution per year....

I just checked. My member isn't gold.
Am I due a refund?
I thought it had to do with how much of everyone's time was wasted reading one's persifilous, banal, not to mention inane and aimless, wandering posts.........
Now that I know...I feel MUCH better!!
....maybe that's superfluous?
