Ohj I hear you. I had my hed done on the last bike and the packaging it cam back in was a workj of art in iself. I mean who meearures tape and lines up edges? Even the head packing itself was completly measured and taped like a piece of fine jewelry.

Anyone who spends THAT much time and effort in packing clearly has a hugh degree of detail. I have no boubt the work and quality will be the best money cna buy.

I hope I notice the carbb on the bottom and much as I noticd the head everywhere else. Every KDX should get the head. Love the throttle snap.

Yep it is a differance for sure.
Had my 05 head & carb done when i did the piston swap along with some Super Stock reeds..
Can't wait to try out this PC pipe on it that i got with my other bike..
The pipe REALLY woke up the 98 model im working on now and it was stock.....

Polish, as in for 'bling factor?' A bunch of different grit polishing wheels/compouds for your die grinder/dremel. Several step process.

yeah bling. the carb is just looking old. Got it used and the guy sprayed his bike gren and got overspray on it.

If I polish it it will not stay that wy but I hate putting on a crappy part on an othrwise new bike is all.

Seems dremel and a wire brush s all that is needed.

Dremel and roud wire brush. It needs a bit of hand rubbing. I a not going to bother with Uber polish and hand rubbing and I am not going to bother with every nook and cranny.

As it is it looks WAY better than it did.

You can see the divider plate.

What has the bike costed you so far?

Posted: 05:03 pm Apr 12 2008
by ebeck
$600 for the roler from Karzinski
$850 for the whole motor
$850 for MX-tech revalve//respring/rebuild
$2000 in new parts (sprockets, rims, tires, shift levers, levers, cables, plastic, kickstand etc...)
$500 in machine work/powdercoating

That said, the susension rebuild and new parts to the extend that I did it was just not required. I just have a tendancy to go all out. I replaced alot of parts that would have worked and did not "neeed" to e replaced.

Oh, the carb cleans up alot with some polish. Nothing serious but the brushing raises oils in the metal adn need to be wiped off. That is the dark spots you see. They come off.
