Inda - took some snaps of a couple of us KDX guys today and now recognize that the the file sizes are like 4 meg apiece.

What's the easiest way to reduce the file size - can I save it a certain way, or am I SOL?

If ya had Photoshop I could tell ya how.... could do a screen capture and open in Paint, crop it and save it as a .jpg

Hey Jim. I had the same problem. I had to resize them on the camera itself. You should be able to go to the cameras menu, and find a resize option. Make them the lowest quality, and then post them. By the way, had a great time! Did your boy win?

There is a program that re-sizes them, I can't remember it for the life of me though...

Another thing you could do is download "The Gimp", it's a photoshop-like program that's free. With that you can resize and afterwards create your own sutff! Pretty cool huh? :supz:

But...not the options you have with something you can get for free off the web. I use Photo Resizer. Yes, they sell a 'pro' version for $18, but the free version does everything I want to do.

You can change the size, you can change the compression, you can eaisly name and save the result anywhere you want, you can easily see the size resulting from a resize..lots of things that make it easier to use than the camera.

Usually you can resize them right on the camera!
