Not sure if this has been asked before but it just came to the top of my head.

Needs a 'Not yet, but someday' option. I'd love to pick up a Buell Firebolt someday .

Roda a '90 Kawasaki Ninja 650 back then when I still in the Navy. Slid on some gravel coming off an interstate ramp, threw me into a guardrail. About $700 or so worth of fairing damage later, I sold the bike. 'Haven't had one since (not that I never will, just don't have the desire).

I just bought a 1985 Honda Goldwing GL1200L. I t weighs almost 800 LBS, before I get on it, after is over 1000LBS!!! I took it on my first short ride and I immediately noticed all that weight, and clearence? You have to actually turn the handlebars to turn, thank goodness the floorboards are on hinges. This thing is so quiet-it even comes with a stereo and CB!!! Here is my comparison between the KDX and Goldwing--CORR Truck and a Rolls Royce.

Yes, I have two road bikes if I don't count the other three waiting to be restored- CB77, CP77, and 83 Kawasaki KZ750

But guess which one I like riding most.

Hi fellow KDX riders, first time posting.
Please bare with me, I'm new at the forum thing

I NEVER want to be the operator of a street bike much less the bitch, but if i had my choice, Bitch would be the way to go. Lost too many friends to street bikes. Scares me. Too many idiots on the road with four wheels under them who could care less about the two they just ran over.

'Bout time you made yourself known. What about you?

You are right about the four wheelers on the streets, and eighteen wheelers are really bad! When I'm on the KDX I still have to contend with cab trucks, and four wheelers

I plan to introduce myself soon, just digging around for some OLD pictures to post in friends of the site. I work too many hours.

I have an 82 GL1100 Goldwing, which is an awesome bike. A fairly formidable twisties bike, nice and comfy, with plenty of power. (13.4 1/4mile times)

Also have a 1983 GS750E. The original streetfighter! Thing was wicked fast in it's day(11 second 1/4 mile at 114mph) It's apart right now. Putting 4 to 1 with Kerker on it. Dynojet Stg3 Jet kit. Pod filters, tires, chain etc... It's going to be my winter project.

Had an FZ600 like 20 years ago. Kept it for a few months, then traded it for an '89 WR250. Had a quad for a while too.

I like street legal dirt bikes.

recently bought an 84 CB700SC Nighthawk 'S'. For $375 off CList ;)

Hydraulic clutch, shaft drive, twin-rotor front brakes, hydraulic 11K rpm valvetrain ;) LOW MAINTENANCE :supz:

It sat in a building for 16 years w/o the carbs installed. I cleaned them and used a minitrail plastic tank. The PO was a know-nothing non-mechanic.

Within 2 hours I had it running, bled the clutch and brakes, changed oil twice, took my kids and wife for rides...for about two weeks.

then I washed the bike not thinking, and got the ignition wet....
grinding on the starter finally broke the alternator/starter chain and now I get to split the case and fix it

Thread resurrected from the dead!

I'll chime in.

1992 Kawasaki Zephyr 750 owned since new, with a five-year break in ownership when I lived in Germany. I gave it to a friend with the understanding that if I ever wanted it back, I could have it. I'd have been happy to let my buddy keep it, but he didn't take care of it to nearly the level I would have liked, so it's back in my tender care.

2002 H-D Sportster 883R. It has a 1200cc conversion along with an S&S carb and V&H 2-into-1 exhaust. The previous owner cut the rear fender struts off to make it a bobber, and he had a fiberglass XR dirt tracker tail section that he had ready to mount up and paint, but not yet installed. I've always wanted to do a dirt tracker customization of a Sportster, and I got this in the spring for relatively cheap. Thanks (?) to the recession, lots of Harleys can be had for cheap. I had the tail section painted up, mounted up, and now it just looks awesome. STill handles like a Harley though...:( Nothing a bunch of parts won't almost fix.
