Hi, I found a listing for crank bearings on Ebay for $2.95 ea plus shipping. (cheap = no good?) The factory parts are around $40 each
I know, get what you pay for, but I am not able to dump alot more into this bike (1983 KDX200)
Any thoughts or alternatives?
The bearing is an NSK# 6305 which is also avail through NAPA for around $20 each
Thanks, Josh

You want a known quality bearing for a crank bearing. NAPA sells quality parts and if they are half the price of OEM and your strapped for cash I would buy from them.

Unknown quality crank bearings listed for 2.95 on E-bay from a 'store front' operation would give me heart burn every time I started the bike and realized the crankshaft would be turning 8K rpm on cheap crank bearings. Your going to spend significantly more money on the seals and installation of the crankbearings: it seems to me you would want to ensure you were not just going to end up blowing the motor. All bearings are not created equal.

At times you may find a crank bearing or something similar on E-bay that someone had for spares and get high quality bearing(s) for low dollars - that of course is very acceptable and makes everyone

There are places where cheap bearings could be used IMO where their failure would not normally result in major consequences to the rider or bike.

Good advice, thanks.
Part two of my question...If I get the Napa bearings, would anyone know of a supplier for crank seals?
Factory parts are over $15.00 ea, which I know isn't much, but being a automotive parts person, I assume the seal is made for Kawasaki by NSK or someone else. So I should be able to cross the seal to another source.
Kawasaki.com shows a vendor trade # for the seal( SEAL-OIL, TBJ25407 ), but I haven't found a interchange for it yet. Any suggestions? Any money saved can be diverted elsewhere for this money pit!!

Well, because I'm so cheap, I got Napa to cross the number on the seal (NOK GJ1313E)
$3.08 ea.....
Sorry, I can't pass this up!

Hope they will work fine when your engine will be closed.
