I have a problem with the shaft who enter in the clutch cover.

The hole in the aluminium cover under the seal is Oval/worn.So whatever if i install a new seal or/and a new shaft the problem is still there.OIL leak in this area. Anyone have/ had this problem? I have to buy a new clutch cover from the kawi dealer? Do you have others ideas?

My solution is to just not worry about it. Change the oil every couple of rides and have at it.

Keep your eyes peeled on eBay for a side cover. Maybe a machinist could bore and insert a sleeve it there.

Yep i have had mine done too... any good engineer/machinist will fit up a new sleeve for it as long as you take in the clutch lever for them to match up with :-)

Mine is like that (wobbly..leaky). I need to take it to a shop to get sleeved.

Thanks for the reminder...maybe I'll do that kinda soon.

Another problem with the wallering out of that hole is the clutch doesn't work too good any more, either. If the shaft is doing anything other than simply rotating, the clutch is moving that much less.

..and the KDX clutch has enough problems if everything is up to snuff!

As a machinist, I would have to say yes to get it sleeved with some kind of aluminium or brass sleeve.
