I have a KDX 220, and i was wondering if it was possible to Bore it out to a 250? ive heard of 125's being bored to 160, so i imagine the same is possible with a 220 to a 250...what would do to my motor, besides decrease engine life? would i have to change a lot of things besides the piston?

240 about your limit. That requires a bore and sleeve from someone like LA Sleeve. Your other options are 220 or 225.

A 160cc 125 has GOT to have a stroker crank in it.....Something not available to fhe KDX  . I think about 144cc is all they can get out of the bore. I can only imagine the amount of torque a stroker KDX motor would produce.

Yes it is.

Oh..you want it to WORK when you're done?

Picky picky picky....

There is one heckuva lot more to how things work than 'make it bigger!'

I've seen supercharged small blocks in wheelbarrows. I guess if THAT is possible then you could certainly get 250cc out of a KDX.

What is going to happen to port times with a bore that big? Port volumes? The main exhaust valve? Water jacket?

The less I think of it, the more I'm SURE it will work just fine!

Let us know how it turns out!!

If you are not going to personally re-engineer the entire engine and make your own parts, that's the fact of the matter.
