Hi guys. I was out riding today and totally lost my rear brakes. I stopped and did a quick visual check and everything is there still. I limped it home and parked it. Hear we are a few hours later and it seems to be working again. Any thoughts on this?

I've done this a bunch of times on many bikes. You overheated it. You're probably dragging the rear brake and don't even realize you're doing it.
First thing to do is flush and bleed the system with fresh DOT 4 or 5.1 (NOT 5!!!) brake fluid. Next adjust your brake pedal so you aren't dragging it as much when riding. Third, adjust your riding style and move your foot off of the rear brake completely when not using it. Lastly, you can add various types of brake coolers to help. BTW, the only cooler I have found that actually works is the aluminum type that goes in between the brake pads and the caliper piston.
Hope that helps!
