Hi all! What's powerful enough to staple through the plastic to secure a new seat cover? I tried a hand stapler...didn't do a thing. Tried electric (entry level Arrow electric)...didn't do a thing. Looking at the plastic it's pretty thick stuff. How do you staple the seat cover?

Well, I'm going to try the Arrow pneumatic stapler PT50 and see if that does the trick. Anyone else have success with that?

Do you have a compressor? If so look on Amazon for a staple gun with the brand name WEN. It shoots standard T50 staples and I mounted 2 seat covers with no problem. It’s costs 35-40 dollars
Like you I also tried standard plus electric staple guns without success. That little WEN gun was great

If you don't want to buy equipment you might try an upholstery shop.

Ive used electric and pneumatic, I switched back to electric though, my pneumatic one was shooting staples THROUGH the seat pan, even if I dialed the pressure down to 40psi!

Ask around to local upholstery shops to see how much they would charge. If you are just doing one, then it may be cheaper to just get a pro to do it.

Got the arrow pneumatic and it worked great with 1/4” monel staples.

One tips because our seat curves so much and I had a bit of a rubbery seat, cover, for me at least I had to start at the top and work my way back all the way to the rear to really get it to fit snug. If I tried to staple the front and the back and then the middle and work it, it just would not get snug. I just looked it over the front started staple in there and just slowly working my way all the way to the tail.

I got this one from harbor freight, specifically to do seat cover. Seemed to work good.
