I’m still really maxed out on the clutch cable on my 91 Kdx after adding a washer shim. Their is now 2 washers below the push rod and still not enough. I wonder if their is another reason for this? It also felt really tight when I pulled the clutch after I was able to take most of the free play out. Definitely didn’t feel right.

There is a midline adjuster on the clutch cable, have you adjusted that?

Yes both adjustments and still lots of slack. I took the clutch hub nut off to check everything and all seems fine. Still don’t know the answer. Also which direction do the 2 thrust washers go? One side is sharp one is round. Thanks

Took it apart, put it back together and it’s all good now. Should their be a washer underneath the clutch hub nut? Btw I ended up putting the thrust washers with the sharper side facing the clutch basket. So the first one is round side down and the second one is round side up. Doesn’t say anything in the manual but I think that makes the most sense. Correct me if their is a proper way. Thank you guys
