Bogs at high rev

Bogs down at full throttle.

I have a 220 that has been setting for 8 years, stored in a shed.

I emptied the tank and reserve, pulled the carb and cleaned it, including opening the reservoir and hitting all ports with an air compressor.

After just a couple of kicks, she started right up.

If I slowly increase the throttle, she will rev up as expected, but if I give her a quicker throttle to hit high rev, she bogs down...

Any ideas?

Here is a video to show...

Running pig rich. I bet the jet block gasket is toast. Especially after sitting that long.

UNRELATED: The rear axel nut might be LOOSE. Your Devol rear disc guard should be rotated fully counter-clockwise till it stops. They hang at 6 o’clock when loose.

I just checked it and it looks like the guy I bought the bike from had actually set it like that. I'll certainly correct it though.

Check your oil after a bit and see if you're loosing it. Wouldn't hurt to do a leak down check for crank seals.
