piston change

ok go easy on me i'm changeing the piston on my 03 220 with a wiseco piston having trouble getting jug over pistonwhat am i doing wrong i dont want to damage anything .. thanks for your help

Make sure the ring end gaps are lined up with the locating pins in the piston.

Also did you check your ring end gap? and you are sure it is a standard bore piston?

You could also try the technique of installing the piston into the jug while it's on the bench. Then lower that assembly over the rod and insert the wrist pin. Have one circlip already installed in the piston too.

no i didnt line up the rings the piston number is 750m06900 69.0 mm is this correct :oops:

The piston should be 69 mm for a standard bore cyl. . The piston won't fit if you don't line up the rings on the pins. Also make sure it's facing the right direction, and follow the manual's recommendation on clip alignment.

ok lined up rings ,correct piston then i rip the gasket will pick up gasket sat. ans do again now its time for :partyman:
