Hi I am reassembly my kdx 2005 model and I have found a o ring abount an inch in diameter .I have no idea where it goes , it popped out when spliting the crank , thinking maby for waterpump. Any advice

Is it one of the ones behind the front sprocket? Look on all the parts diagrams to see where it is supposed to go.

Did you take the water pump impeller off?, There are only a couple O-rings that would be accessible and that is one of them. There is also one as part of the kips governor assembly in the right case half, and one under the left had cap for the kips, as well as a couple behind the countershaft sprocket. Best bet is to refer to the parts breakdown and the service manual to make sure you reassemble everything correctly.
