front and rear bearing replacement

Got new bearings, old ones are out. They've sat in the freezer overnight so I'm not worried about getting them in, couple of questions:
- do I apply any grease/lube to the outside of them to slip them in?
- which one goes in first - the one on the circlip side?

No grease is required or recommended.
As for which goes in first, the manual doesn't specify any specific order. I like to put in the circlip side bearing first and installt the circlip before doing the other side. I think it just helps keep the bearings in the proper location when driving in the non-circlip side bearing. The manual does state to install the bearings with the bearing number and/or seal to the outside.

I am a fan of a dab of anti-seize as it is steel on aluminum.
Check the tension before driving the last one fully home. A friend once had to take one back out that had bound up on the collar. I think the bearings were not 100% to spec on width.

I second the anti-seize. Lacking that I do put a dab of grease on just to help them slip in.
