Hi- my 2000 KDX 200 rear shock seems to be blown. The bike is pretty low and unstable. Anyone know of an affordable shop in the CA high desert area that can rebuilt it service it? I called a couple places and they wanted a lot of $. Like 800$. Can I buy these already rebuilt or how does that work? I rebuilt the top end and it runs great.

Also, does anyone run the m5b on this bike? Just wondering if it will have enough power to handle it without burning out the clutch.

Do you need a quick service? I just sent mine out to FRP his services are a fraction of that and he specializes in KDX.

That's ridiculous! It should be less than $300 if you take them the shock without them having to pull it. Maybe $250. Geez. That is too high.

Find a time machine and go back to 2005 when I worked on them. I think I charged $150 plus shipping for a full rebuild with parts and oil. I know it was $50 labor, including oil.

Getting in the timewarp now. Yes I thought the prices was outrageous. I was going to drop the bike off because I don't have the time to work on yet another bike.

OK, I was wondering if that was the case when you said $800. Yeah, paying someone to pull off the shock and put it back on usually runs it on up there.
