Cleaning Suspension Bearings

I'm about to clean the bearings on my swingarm and rocker arm. Before I do I was wondering if the needles will fall out when I remove the existing grease with a degreaser or if they are held in place by the bearing itself? Thanks

They will not fall out unless the cage is damaged.

If you have aftermarket bearings the needles will fall out. That's been my experience with both Pivot Works and All Balls.

If they have never been done since you owned the bike it would be better to replace them IMO. They are notoriously undermaintained by most folks (myself included)
