Shock shim size

I'm going to use the shims from a Wr450 shock but I need to sand them down from 40mm to 38mm. Before I do that just want to confirm the ID hole of the shim is the same as the kdx. Measures 12mm?

I just rebuilt my rear shock and I know I ordered a 14mm rubber bumper. Seems like the piston and seal head were the same.
I also put in some SPLS14 race tech shims. So, I'll go with the KDX is 14mm

On the kdx 14mm is the shaft size, Wr450 shaft size is 16mm, if the shims were the same size as the shaft then how are they held in position

The portion of the shaft where the shims and stuff go is 12 mm. The shiny chrome portion is 14 mm on the last few models of KDX's.
That piston band looks quite worn. If one can see the wear line from the o-ring(s) underneath, that is not too hot.

OK thanks, 12mm as in the first photo, this is the Wr450 shock and shim stack, my kdx is in Thailand and I am in Australia so I don't have a kdx shock to measure
