swing arm bearing question

I'm hoping to replace the swing arm bearings on my '01 KDX 200 this weekend.

It looks like there are two bearings per side. Do I have to press them out in opposite directions, or can
I just press both of them out from the outer side of the swing arm?

As I recall, I put mine in from opposite sides using a vise.

Both will come out the same side IIRC.

I believe the bearings seats are tapered so that when you press it in the correct direction it sits in the right spot. Either that or maybe there’s a lip on one side of each. Correct me if I’m wrong.

You can press the swingarm bearings out from the same side. When you press them in go from each side so you can get the proper amount of depth IIRC its like 6mm from the edge of the swingarm on both sides to allow for the seals.

Thank you to all you guys for your responses.

I've never had the swing arm off before, and I hope the pivot bolt isn't too stuck.

I took mine off recently and it was seized a bit. Spray a decent amount of penetrating lube in and let it sit for 5-10 mins, then try again. If its still stuck, if you cover the threads and use a rubber mallet or small hammer you should be able to tap it out (wiggle it up and down every now and then as you tap through). If its really seized, you might just have to smash it through and sacrifice the bolt.
