Built KDX 220 - Reliability and worth buying?

I'm looking at a 1997 KDX 220 to purchase. It has the following mods:

Lectron Carb
Rebuilt bottom end
Replated and bored 10cc's by Millenium tech
Milled head (higher compression) by Millenium tech
FMF pipe
KX250 front fork swap
Racetech gold valving
Rebuilt/powdercoated frame with new bushings and bearings

Guy who is selling it rebuilt the bike last winter. He's got receipts for the engine work. Looks to be in great shape. Supposedly he's selling it because he just dropped 10K on husky TE250i.

I'm not familiar with a modded KDX. Do you guys think it will still be reliable? And how much do you think the bike would be worth?

I know there are a lot more factors to consider with price and condition but just looking for some general advice.

Cheers

Welcome to kdxrider.

In general, those are terrific modifications. In my opinion, they would raise the value for me. Do you have a link? Pricing will vary by region.

I don't have a link to the ad. Here's a picture I have of the bike. I'm headed to look at it tomorrow but someone else is going to look at it tonight. Hopefully it doesn't sell before I can check it out

What state? It looks like it has a tag, mirror and horn?

What is he asking? I'll guess $2,800. :hmm:

Those are all excellent mods and I don't see anything to negatively impact reliability. If I were looking for a good trail or enduro bike, I'd be all over this at $2800. I know what I have in mine and it is waayyy beyond that !

What you have there is a “modernized” KDX, the bike we all wish Kawasaki would market again.
