A friend of mine picked up an old Yo-mamaha IT465. runs great and only cost $400. The rear tire is toast. The rim is 17"!! tough to find a tire for it. He found internet prices of $100-$170 that's just for one tire by the way. Looks to me there is plenty of room for an 18" rim. Problem is , I bet the spokes will be tough to find. Does anyone know of a good source that could get us set up with the right spokes for this thing? I planned on getting a rim at a local junk yard. The hub is an old drum brake type.

Heck i'd see if you could make a complete late model 18 rear wheel with disc brake work. Or maybe a A or C series KDX rear wheel which is 18" and drum brake?

Just for an example, he was going to lace a new Excel rim onto my old wheel using my spokes and hub for $200. Not to bad a deal. He was going to paint my hub for me also in that price, so just a relace and new rim might be alittle cheaper. This does'nt include shipping though if I remember correctly.

all the DR650's are 17 and you can run a maxxis iit or kenda trackmaster 760 for around 50 to 70 bucks try http://www.chaparral-racing.com for starters.
