Piston clearance Q

Hello hive mind! I just picked up a 220 and I have the top end apart with a new Wiseco piston in hand. Stock spec piston clearance is .0031"-.0035" and Wiseco recommended is .0025". I've measured clearance with the new Wiseco piston at .0035". Clearance with the stock piston that came out measured at 0.0056"
In your estimation is that new Wiseco good to go? Cylinder sleeve checks out and looks good .

Yes. Have you checked the sleeve for “egg shaping?”

It would be a lot better at the tighter clearance but you should be ok. What size piston is it, an A, B, C, or D?
Don't forget to check your ring end gap!

The piston is a Wiseco 69mm. Measured the cylinder per Kawasaki at the bottom of the cylinder fore/aft. B piston came out.

Typically, you want to measure the cylinder's bore in several places and compare the differences. Usually, most wear is found measuring the front to back ID, around 5/8" below the top. Then measure your piston's OD at this same area and see what the difference is.
Its also been stated that forged pistons (Wiseco) like a bit more clearance than OEM cast pistons. No experience here, just what I've heard and read.
