During the re-do of my '04-220, I came across a few issues that I'd like to address. One of which is a bent lower handle holder. It's not bad and I tried to straighten with heat and a bench vice, but it was a no go. I could get one (part #46012-1263) but $30 plus shippinig is not what I want to do and it's a part that I could live with, but it be something that would bug me. Doing a search on the inner-web led me to Ebay. I contacted the one seller who said his wouldn't work. In the item description it said it would work for a KX250 and KX500. The part # for this one is 46012-1242. The seller that I haven't contacted yet shows that item to fit a KX125, KDX200 and a KX500 K12a. The part number for that item is 46012-1167.

The one for the 250 and 500 looks identical to what I have on my bike, while the one for 125,200 & 500 is black. Question is will either of these work?

The parts list I have for an 06 200 is showing for the lower handlebar holder is INDEX # 46012A, P/N 46012-0015-458.

Not sure how yours is different. I was under the impression chassis parts were pretty much interchangeable through the H series 200 and 220.

You might do a search using the above part number and see what you can find.

That was my thinking too. Even the list provided by Kdxskully shows how one part can interchange with other bikes. That's why I was a little taken back when the one seller said his item for the 250 & 500 wouldn't fit my bike.

I'll keep looking Like I said, I can live with the bent one but...

Thanks for that list. I've seen lists like the one you provided on other threads on this forum. I search for those list, which I assume you also provided, but couldn't come up with any. My search on the inner-web for my bike's listed part, 46012-1263 gave me several leads, with ebay being one. The first numbers 46012 matched, it was just those last four numbers that didn't. -dang it!

I get those lists from partzilla. Navigate through the menus and get to the diagram you need. When you click on the part you want, scroll down and there’s a list of other models that use that same part number. Good luck

Partszilla, RMATV, Motosport all have OEM parts fiches with cross reference. Kawasaki.com has the parts fiches in PDF format that you can download, but they disabled the cross reference ability a while back.

For your part 46012-1263 or 46012-0015-458 will work. They are from 95-06 KDX200, 97-05 KDX220, 91-94 KDX250, 93-96 KLX650. But you could also try 46012-1264 which is technically for 02-04 KX125, 92-04 KX250, 94-04 KX500 and 04 KX250F. It uses the same size nut (10 mm) and is close in length. The difference is likely in the amount of offset (that is true for all the early 90s-mid 2000s KX bikes, different offsets based on frame geometry but same cones and nut) The only catch is that if you use one off a KX bike, you have to get two so that they match. And they are all around 30$ anyways. With the old Kawasaki bikes you can find lots of interchangeability by looking at the connecting hardware bits as well as the actual dimensions (in the case of washers, fasteners, orings, etc)

12345 is the reference number. 12345-6789 is the part number. You can find 50 different 46012-xxxx parts. 11009 is a gasket, 92015 a nut, etc.
