Hello,
I am putting the engine back together on my 1998 KDX220 and about to put the right cover back on. When I originally removed
the cover this one washer came out that I did not see where it came off of. The more I look at manuals, and the parts diagram
I can not figure out where it goes. Kick starter, gear mechanism, water pump? I know its right in front of my face but just
missing something. Ive been at it for 12 hours now. I need a fresh set of eyes.

I think that would be the outer washer for the kick start mechanism. The part# would be 92022-271. Kawasaki has the measurements on some parts listed in the parts fiche. That washer, if I'm right, should measure out as 22mm in diameter, 0.5mm thick, and the hole is 18.3mm.

That would be my guess. Pretty common for that washer to stick to the case when pulling the cover off.
