No lighting on my ‘94?

Just got a new to me 1994 kdx200 and there is no lighting... a number plate and a normal fender that both look factory and original. Did these bikes come this way sometimes? I wonder if the wiring/lighting coil is present.... maybe someone just put kx plastics on it.

Yes, they had typical enduro lighting, a tail light and a too weak headlight. Lots of folks strip them off. The front fender on a KDX is a straight swap with every KX fender up to 2019. Look at the wire bundle coming out of the stator cover and follow it up, You should find a yellow wire that leads to a bullet connector. That is your lighting wire. Normally goes to a switch on the right side handlebar and then to the lights/regulator. It can all be added back in fairly painlessly.

Thanks!
I’ll check it out!
I’d love to have the lights back on.
And the rear fender is zip tie stitched any way.
