KDX200 transmission in a Kx250?

Possible? I’m looking at a 250 project bike for sale locally. I did a KDX250 hybrid back in 2013. Don’t see much KDX200 stuff available here in CA lately

Sorry but the 200 trans will absolutely not fit in a KX250. IIRC, you can get a '91-'94 KDX250 trans to fit in a KX250 up to 2002. No1clyde over on Thumpertalk has done it and has a write up on what is involved to do it.

This is the only photo I have of it. We went out after a light rain storm.
Shoulda went up in the hills instead of that canyon. Clay was crazy that day.
