Hi I have a new to me 02 220 and was wondering if anyone has had any luck getting a pair of Fastway AIR EXT pegs to fit? I have size 12 boots and that little stock peg is hard to use. Also looking for a shifter to accommodate the big boots.

Hey Rider47 .. I am on a similar mission of sorts. Usually I move the pegs down & back (and the bars up and forward) to make the triangle bigger. Following this thread to see what info shows up from the folks here.

So I bit the bullet and went ahead and ordered the AIR EXT pegs. I went with the ‘02 KX250 models, I figured they would be close and with a little machining I got them to fit. I had to take 4mm off the thickness of the mount, cut down the adapter bushing to the same, grind a little off the pivot side of the mount, and take 3mm off the boss that the adjustment bolt screws into.
They look great and feel good, haven’t ridden with them yet my suspension is still in the shop. Hopefully it will be done tomorrow.

I would love to post pics but my computer skills suck and I haven’t figured out how. I am going to read up on how , I read something about photo bucket. I have heard of that but am not familiar with it.

If it looks right, click on "Submit".

I finally got the pics to load. I still need to adjust the right side but they work well. I did about 20 laps in the back yard and they're really roomy.

What is the benefit of the pads on the stand? I have never seen that before.

I don't know, it came with them, I guess to protect your shin when you walk through the garage with the lights off? I'm sure you wouldn't hang on the peg first.

I have had my stands beat me up a little on occasion. Trying to move a MX bike with no kickstand while holding a stand doesn't always work out so well.
