New top end in my '86 and now its hard to start. It took about 5 minutes of kicking to get it going. Was started it ran fine and I could shut it off and restart it no problem. I'm not getting fuel. I have good spark and 130 compression. The carb only has a couple of rides on it since rebuild.

How long did the carb set with fuel in it?

I drained most of the gas when I took the bike apart. I'll pull and check out carburetor tomorrow.

If it is not getting fuel, then the carb is the place to start.

just saw additional post.... old gas in bowl can get crusty quickly.
