Hi,

Looking at a KDX and price is going to have a huge impact so its a good chance I will end up with an E series. I had a 90 and sold it a few years back and looking at my Rocky mountain purchases between then and now I have noticed some parts are no longer readily available. I am sourcing stuff on ebay and finding lots of luck for "new" parts but not sure of the quality as its not name brand. For example has anyone tried any of these off brand brake rotors?

or a clutch kit?

Just wanted to see what input you might have or if there is another place to source parts? I am particular to Rocky Mountain since they have been great to work with the last 10 years.

Rocky Mtn and Motosport have been good for me and usually good availability. Ebay for everything else as these bikes get older. I haven't tried either of those sellers though.

$45 for a complete clutch kit? That sounds like a "you get what you pay for" deal.

Rocky Mountains TUSK brand clutch kits are in that 45-55 price range and my buddies and I have used those before with no complaints.

I wouldn’t hesitate if they made one for the KDX.

That being said the selection of parts I found on eBay were pretty good. The big thing is wheels in case a rim or spoke breaks.

Is that a Tusk kit (brand name Chinese) or a no name Chinese kit?

Kawasaki sells individual spokes and nipples. Excel, DID and others sell rims.

On the 1989 - 1994 models, one common failure is people letting the power valves cake up and break. BDK Engineering sells a kit.

I sent him a message through ebay asking what the actual brand was and his response was

"This is a Factory Spec clutch kit"

Anyways it looks like parts are still available but just harder to piece together.
