Needle jet

New 1997 KDX 220 owner. I just rebuilt top end, using 93 octane, Spectro 40:1. Old owner said 40:1 but not too sure.

What clip should the jet be on?

FMF Fatty and PowerCore 2 silencer, original owner never repacked, looked like he rode it through an oil slick.

Thanks,
John

As a baseline setting try the clip On the fourth from the top position & see what it runs like in the mid range ....chances are the bike will blubber a little off the throttle but personally I prefer to run a little rich than lean .

Might need more information including what needle you are using. All the jets overlap in the circuits so everything has to be in sync. Any blubbering above 1/8th throttle is a sign of an overly rich condition.
