1989 kdx200 overflows coolant often while riding in tight woods 1st to 3rd gear. Water seems to be following in radiator. I don't have a catch can.No performance issues. I'm thinking clogged radiators or passages? Has anybody experienced this? What can I check?

Hi. Any particular reason you don't have the stock overflow tank?

What mixture are you using?

check your coolant flow
check your fins for clogged up with mud
burp the screw on top of the head
check the left side radiator for fullness

Could also be your cap going bad.

All good suggestions, and you need to get the stock overflow tank put back on.

I have a catch tankon my 200 and in tight 1-3rd gear singles the level in the catch tank will rise by an inch or so, when the bike cools in the faster sections or when stopped it draws it back in. You may not have a problem at all, other than needing an overflow tank.
