I know its an expensive mod. As long as my wife doesn't find out its all good. I live about an hour away from EFM. I plan on driving out there to pick it up when completed. That is going to save me a little money. He said about a week.

I just rode my first enduro with the EFM autoclutch. I love it! It’s like cheating. Just don’t forget if you get stopped on a hill get on the brakes quick! No fun rolling down backwards!

After some trial and error, I finally got the auto clutch working today on my 1986 KDX 200. The main challenge was the fact that the '86 has a one piece clutch cover that also covers the kick starter and power valve actuator. A spacer could not be used to accommodate the wider clutch. I had to do some grinding of the inside of the clutch cover. Gary at EFM had to make a few changes to the first clutch as well. Gary also had Cometic Gaskets make me several thick gaskets for the clutch cover. I can't wait to try it in the Hare Scrambles.

I want to the Gary at EFM for all his help and patience. Cometic Gasket Company also did I nice good.

Does it affect the KIPS gear shaft going in the bearing hole or the shifter shaft end against the plus sign on the cover?

No effect on anything.

Is the carb to engine boot a reproduction piece? If so, how do you like it?

Yes it is a reproduction. Hotfootmoto on Ebay. I'm very happy with it.

OK. I saw them on there for years. I always wondered about them. I am glad he / they make them. I have seen chain sliders on there, too, thankfully!

My next mod on the bike will be a compression release.
