Kips exhaust rod o ring

Does anybody know more about replacing the o ring on the right hand side exhaust valve rod. Nothing listed on the parts diagram . This seems to be a flat o ring and is not supplied in any top end kit. When I did a leak down test it was leaking very badly from the right hand side power valve cover. Am I right in assuming this o ring helps seal in tandem with the right hand side shaft seal. Google search turns up nothing.

Do you have a link to an SR parts diagram? Thanks.

I don't have a link. Except for oil injection and electrics I'm not sure much else is different. Will the parts diagram have a part number for the o ring I am talking about ?

After I dummy assembled it it's easy to see that no leak down test can be done with out that o ring being in good shape. All the other covers have a gasket or o ring to hold in the pressure but the right side cover is open to allow for the actuator rod. Now just need to find a square cut o ring

The o-ring on the outside of the guide is just a regular o-ring, on the inside it's a small lip seal that seals between the guide and the shaft. The sizes are listed on the parts page that Jason posted, which allows you to source them from a local bearing supply house.

Do you have a 125, 200, 250??

If you can't put it in your thread, please put it in your signature. Thanks.

Mine is a kdx220 1997. That parts diagram is different to mine. O ring on the exhaust rod is a square type o ring with a shallow groove in the middle

In this picture are you talking about the 92049 or the 43049? The 92049 are oil seals and are included in a Tusk top end gasket set. The 43049 is called "Packing" on a parts list and is the oring that goes onto that right side shaft. Its not included in a Tusk top end set. The 92049 have a groove on the back of them like any other oil seal.

Oil Seal 92049-1238 Qty 2
Packing 43049-1076 Qty 1
Unless the 220SR cylinder is different, those are the Kawasaki part numbers

I see what you're saying now. Are you talking about the 49006 rubber boot?

Thank you kindly. The 43049 is the one I am talking about. Is that only a Kawasaki part. How did you post photos on this forum. If I knew how to do it I would be more clear with my question
