Could anyone tell me what the symptoms of a leaking base gasket may be? I've been fighting tuning issues on my 1990 KDX200 and think the base gasket may be slightly torn. I would assume this would just cause an air leak. My plug is consistently showing rich even with much smaller mains and new jet block gaskets.

What is your jetting at now?

An air leak won't cause a rich running issue, it would cause a lean condition.

It sounds like a great time for pressure and vacuum tests.
