New to the site. I just picked up a 2003 KDX 200. It has an FMF pipe on it. The guy I purchased it from said it was the desert pipe. It just has Gold Series Grarly stamped on it. How can I tell a visual difference between the desert and woods pipes. Would rather have the woods version. Thanks in advance.

There is an ID mark on the tab that holds the pipe to the bike frame ...I can't think off hand what it is but I'm sure someone on here can tell you.

Visually the "desert" pipes buldge is much larger than that of the woods pipe....it almost touches the rad shroud & sticks out more.....the "woods" pipe has a more slender looking buldge & doesn't stick out much .

Welcome to kdxrider. They used to have a code stamped on the hanger tab.

I think someone had a post with OD measurements. It may come up on a search.

On one of the mounting tabs, there will be stamped k35 or k30. Maybe on the inside of the tab, might have to use a mirror to see it. K30- Rev pipe or K35 Torque pipe The rev pipe is noticeably fatter when you compare the two.
