Jet block sealant

Ok I'm new to the KDX site but not new to the realm of motorcycle repair. My question is does anyone know the sealant used in conjunction with the jet block o-ring. Kawasaki used some type of sealant during originally assembly of the carb. I don't know of too many sealants that will withstand fuel. Any info or advise is greatly appreciated. BTW this site is awesome !

I don't think it was a sealant as it was a glue to keep the gasket in place as the jet block was installed. A couple small spots of super glue should work.

And this is really in the wrong section. Should have been asked in General Discussion

You can email Ron Black at Ron Black Designs as they would know exactly what to use.

No need for sealant. Plus just one more potential thing to gum up a jet.

Thanks to all who responded, I actually assembled it without sealant. Then tested my work by placing the carb Upside-down and filling with fluid up to the bowl mating surface and checked for leakage, then checked the ports ...all gtg no leaks and clear ports. Sorry about the post in the wrong section

Glad to hear you got it sorted. What do you mean on putting it upside down? I saw someone mention that in the past. I am missing out on something, I think.

No problem on it going in the wrong subforum. I just try to keep it tidy when I can. I try to check out most of the new posts, but sometimes forget to see if it is in the right place. His mentioning it gave me notice to check it out.

Jason, here's a video for checking the jet block gasket with the carb upside down.

wow that's awesome! My e200 often dies when I come to a stop, but starts right back up.

Vaseline works well. It washes away and won't clog passages. Also keeps rubber soft. FWIW
