As long as it's aluminum safe, I use whatever is on the shelf.

If I remember right, your not supposed to use antifreeze that has silicates in it. The silicates wear out the rubber seals prematurely. I'm sure you can google silicates and find out more then I could explain.

If you want a very good off the shelf antifreeze, go to any Honda or Acura dealership (car) parts dept, and get a gallon of the Honda Type 2 coolant. It's blue..... very much aluminum safe as it has no silicates or borates. Everything stays nice and clean

I also use Honda coolant. So far I have no issues with it.

It depends if it's pre-diluted or not. Some coolants are already pre-mixed 50/50 and you just pour right in, where others are concentrated and you have to mix with distilled water. Its been awhile since I've bought some and I honestly don't remember if the Honda stuff was already mixed or not. Just gotta look when you get it

I understand that, just wanted to confirm it was 50/50 ratio and not some other goofy ratio. I had a partial jug of genuine honda coolant that I use in my Acura and honda passenger cars (premixed 50%) that I used today to top off my bike coolant.
