Hi guys, just washing the bike after the 1st ride of the year and noticed I lost the bolt out of the rear caliper guard. I then noticed that the whole caliper can be rotated about 1/2 inch,is this normal? It's been a few years since I've had the rear wheel off(bad crash) and I can't remember if there's supposed to be movement there?

There is some clearance in the slot of the caliper holder where it fits the key in the swing arm. Ideally, you would want to rotate the caliper assembly in the direction of wheel rotation until the slot comes up against the key when tightening up the rear axle.
When the rear axle is loose, you should experience some rotational slack in the caliper assembly due to this clearance. When the axle is tight, there should be no rotational movement of the caliper assembly.
Just finished overhauling my rear brake, and this is what I experienced.

Thanks! I was taking the rear wheel off and noticed the axle nut was not very tight, snugged it down and all is good.
