Is this c-list find a 200?

Saw this little guy show up on the local c-list:
https://pittsburgh.craigslist.org/mcy/6042965174.html
Wondering if its actually a 200 or a 175? I don't know much about these older ones, but it looked a bit different to me. I see that in addition to the stator issue described, that its also missing the pipe. I was thinking about seeing if he was interested in trading for something in the 200-300 dollar range.
Or is it going to be too difficult to find parts, and I should just forget about it haha

Definitely a C-series 200.
Last series of air cooled and first series with kips.
The spark issue could be an expensive one in that that series is known to have flywheel issues (magnets come loose).
The flywheels are hard to find and expensive when you do find one.
There is a technique that allows you to put a newer flywheel on, but it takes some modification of the stock stator.
Overall, it looks pretty good. Missing the kickstand, headlight and the fork boots. the rear fender is not stock.
He says that he has all the parts, so I assume he means pipe and stator cover.
I'd think that it is worth what you are proposing. Worst case, you cold make money selling the parts.

That is a great one if you already had one, not one to start off with.
It is a 1986 model. It is missing a few more parts than already mentioned.

Eh, was hoping it would be an easy one! lol I'll probably just pass as finding parts may prove to be too difficult. Was just looking for a cheap easy bike for friends to ride when they come over. I saw the ones on here that other members rebuilt (and did an awesome job on) and got my wheels spinnin... I guess I have enough projects anyways.
Thanks for the info guys, I appreciate it.

You're welcome. I would skip it if you want a buddy bike. Maybe look for an E.

Yea, I think that's a better idea too.
